For British Isles genealogy, our genealogist is based in Cambridge, United Kingdom and has access to archives in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire, London, and the West Midlands in England, as well as experience more broadly in English, Scottish, and Irish genealogy.

For United States genealogy, we have significant experience with American family history, with particular focus and sustained study of North Carolina piedmont and Appalachian ‘Scotch-Irish’ communities, early migrations into Texas, early Alabama and Mississippi Territory migrations, and researching African ancestry DNA history in predominately white European ancestry.

Due to our unique position, we also specialise in Americans ‘making the leap’ over the pond to identify family history in the British Isles.

DNA Consultation or Full Report

DNA can be incredibly helpful in discovering biological relatives and solving brick walls in your family tree.

In our consultations, we deconstruct the significant findings of your autosomal DNA, Y-DNA, or mtDNA results, helping you interpret what they mean for your family history. We create a plan for future research that will help you solve any research questions you might have.

In a full report, we research your family tree, identify the best type of DNA service for your needs, identify clusters basked on your genetic networks, and use these results to try to solve family mysteries.

Lineage Applications

Lineage applications can be complicated and costly, and it is important to have the correct sources in your application before you apply.

We have experience completing successful lineage society applications, such as membership for the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Artefact History

Artefact histories focus on the genealogy and history of a single object or collection of objects. Clients often hold passed-down family heirlooms or unique artefacts, and they want to better understand the family significance and history behind those objects.

As a professional archaeologist, our genealogist can study the ownership and personal history of unique historical objects. We identify artefacts and try to connect the personal, social, and political context around the object’s histories to individual families and oral history.

Digitisation and Archive Preservation

We are experienced in museum-quality digitisation and preservation methods, and we are passionate about digitising family photographs, papers, and archives so they are preserved forever.

If you have a collection of family papers, letters, photographs, or other archives, we offer a consultation service to help you learn how to preserve your collection.

We also offer a full-service digitisation package where we will work to digitise your collection ourselves, making the process as easy as possible and providing you with an organised digital family collection and an organised physical archive.

We can also provide digital preservation and touch-up work on historic family photographs, as well as advice on conservation and archival storage solutions for your family history collection.
